A Little Cleanup

Given the blog a little bit of a tidy up.

Gotten rid of some links to other blogs I don’t follow anymore, tried out a few different themes. I’m pretty happy with how things look now.

I know all my posts lately haven’t exactly been thrilling, I really hope to get back up to my previous level of ‘excellence’ (hehe) relatively soon.

Thanks for those of you who have continued to stick with me πŸ™‚ xx

Ch-ch-ch-changes & Other Exciting Goings On

So I’m naturally a redhead, but as of late I’ve been brunette:

It’s pretty difficult to lighten my hair when it’s in its natural state, but the dark brown/red/purple is proving to be even more tricky.

After two ultimate lightening treatments, I am now a redhead again:

This is just a pit-stop on my way to dabbling with being blonde again. I will most likely need at least one more lightening treatment, which will have to wait until next week. My roots are already blonde, it’s just a matter of getting the rest of my hair there.

In other exciting news, tomorrow I’m getting photographed for a Fine Arts student’s sexualities project as an example of pansexuality. Hopefully I’ll be able to share some of the photos with you πŸ™‚

I managed to get through the remainder of uni last week, and every day so far this week has been a win. It’s handy that I don’t have any classes on Wednesday, so I get a mid-week break.

And as I mentioned last week, I was waiting to hear from the CDHB Mental Health Services for an appointment. On Friday they contacted me, and I have an appointment for assessment on 1st August, so yay πŸ˜€

UPDATE: And yes, once again, you may have noticed I have changed my theme.

HNT (On Friday): A Radical Change

I know it’s Friday already, late Friday even, but I just didn’t get around to doing this yesterday πŸ™‚ My Half-Nekkid Thursday contribution this week is far less risquΓ© than some of my previous contributions.

I came across this picture while looking through my Google Reader earlier this week:

Apparently it’s called a chelsea-hawk.

So the idea mulled over in my mind for a couple of days, and after consulting my faithfully Twitter followers, I decided to do it!!

Here’s my new look:

I’ve done radical hair colours before, but this is my first radical haircut. I really like it, and the responses so far have been very positive πŸ™‚

The hawk bit in the middle isn’t quite as long as I would like it, but it will soon grow.  I can have a fringe if I want too, I just need to straighten out the curl, which is easy enough.

It will be interesting to see/hear my family’s reaction when I visit Mum for Mother’s Day on Sunday.

I think my pink frames that I got at the same time as my black and yellow ones work much better with this style than longer hair, so that’s an added bonus πŸ™‚

So what are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments section below.
